TOP 5 THINGS TO DO IN BANGKOK AS A SOLO FEMALE TRAVELER

Bangkok is a unique city, with many different things to experience, but the first time I went to Bangkok, many people had doubts about me going. They said that Bangkok was unsafe for a solo female traveler, that I needed to be careful, and all other things that go along with traveling solo to a new place. But it was nothing like that. I felt extremely safe and there were SOOOO many awesome things to do. So let's take a look at my favorite 5 things to do in Bangkok for solo female travelers.

Explore the Different Temples

Thailand, in general, has some of the prettiest temples. My favorite temple (and actually any piece of architecture) is in northern Thailand. Thailand has some of the best temples, Bangkok is no exception. Reserve your Bangkok hotel room from InterContinental Hotels Group nearby, so you can explore the area by foot. With so many different temples to choose from, it's hard to pick just a couple to go to. So go see a few! Some of my favorites were the Wat Phra KaewWat Pho, and the Wat Arun.

Floating Market

Floating markets are a bit touristy but also a lot of fun! It's something you have never experienced before. Aside from Venice, I've never seen an actual market on waters. Either way, I thought this was a super cool idea and totally worth checking out. I recommend doing a little research on what days you will be there because different markets are open on different days and hours. I also recommend going as early as possible to avoid the rush of the tourists. If you do this, you can actually see the locals go shop for fruits and vegetables; this is my favorite way to immerse myself in the culture.

Relax at the Many Different Spas

Well, because a girl's gotta pamper herself, find a local spa. You've probably heard about the amazing Thai massages and how awesome the spas are in Thailand. Well, I'm here to tell you that they really are. Massages cost anywhere from $6 to $15, depending on your treatment, and last an hour long. You really can't beat that price anywhere in the world. With technology nowadays, you can also look up reviews on which massage parlors are the best.

Food, Food, and More Food

Bangkok was one of my favorite places in the entire world to eat! I'm a huge foodie and a big fan of Thai cuisine, so that definitely helped me, but seriously the food is so incredible here! There are many, many different stands that offer dessert, fruits, vegetables, meat, pad Thai, and much more.

Shopping!

And last but not least. Every girl's favorite things to do, go shopping!!!! Everything is extremely inexpensive in Thailand, and you can really fill up your bag with new finds. You'll find everything from super cute summer dresses to souvenirs for your family members to little knickknacks that are just fun to have. Walk around the many different markets and find something for everyone.

As you can see there are many different things to do in Bangkok for solo female travelers, hopefully, you get a chance to do all of these on my list. Are you planning on traveling to Bangkok soon? What are you looking forward to?
